NFC Wild Card Playoff 2008

NFC, no changes since Week 11 cept #3 & #4 seeds swapped and substitute WAS Redskins for DET Motor City Kitties.

East: DAL
Central: GB
South: TB
West: SEA

Wild Cards: NYG; WAS

#1 North Dallas Forty Bowl Bound Pokes played in NFC's toughest division (DAL, NYG, WAS all in playoffs).

Tank Johnson's late season up the middle pressure, had the "Fred Dean" effect on the Pokes suspect pass defense.

Terry Glenn back for the playoffs changes double team on T.O. opening up #3 offense even further.

#2 Green Bay Cheeseheads back with D, Favre had a record year #2 offense.

Pack had leading ground game last 6 weeks, look out. Big D Week 13 loss sans several key players.

#3 Seahawks Sleeping in Seattle and won the division by default finishing 6-2, 7-1 at home. Last 3 Seattle D slipped allowing 326 yds pg.

#6 Redskins picked up big with QB Collins winning last 4, 2 on road (NYG, MIN) to make playoffs. Last 3 Redskin D has improved allowing 252 yds pg; 75 rushing.

Pick: Redskins #4 rushing D will force Squaks into the air and mistakes, Redskin ball control wins +3.5 at Seattle

#4 Tampa Bay Garcia Bucs back with D #1 vs pass & a decent QB Garcia (4 ints), running game Cadillac lost to injuries.

Bucs well rested but closed weak 1-3. Rushing D in last three at home giving up 135 ypg & 4.6 per carry.

#5 New York City Football Giants, Eli's "happy feet" still plague. Giants started 6-2, finished 4-4 barely losing to Pats in NY.

G-men amazing 7-1 on road, only loss at Dallas. Last 3 away Gmen rushing for 192 ypg & 5.2 per carry.

Pick: Eli might not have to throw well vs #1 TB pass defense if Gmen can run the ball, and they will. But all it takes is one mistake, NYG +3 at Tampa Bay.
