The GM Posterboys Post Mortem
The Nattering One muses… we warned on Chrysler and in GM BK ODDS we posted the following:
“GM is the poster boy for top heavy (read overpopulated and overcompensated management) behemoths which adhere to antiquated business models.
There will be more sack-n-loot and number jockeying moves during what we estimate to be, a pre BK life span of 36 months.”
Oh yes Nattering ones, that was 11/21/05. Oh well, I was off by a little over six months.
Has the PBGC (Pension Benefit Guarantee Corp) gotten anything out of the GM/GMAC debacle?
Hope so, because the GM pensions alone will put the PBGC under water. And here's a head's up... Get ready for the upcoming California deficit crisis which will...
lead to many state, county and city governments being unable to obtain financing to roll over their existing debt.
Like we said before, those who survived the "ground zero" detonation and the ensuing radiation sickness, would be greeted with the nuclear winter...
of pension deficits and defaults. If you have read these pages, you can't say you weren't warned.
