Haiku For The Status Quo

SeekingTruth commented:  "Ever since I used the term "The Great Unraveling" a few weeks ago on S/A, I've heard the term "unraveling" many times in the media, so it must have struck a chordant note with some.

I believe we started unraveling in 1970, so it is nothing new to me, and anyone who thinks that we have years before it becomes critical might consider that thought because we've been unraveling for a long time, and the "soak time" has already taken place."

We Nattered: Perhaps a haiku or poem for the status quo is in order.... what can you mould from this clay?

Growing to half a century in the making,
you are one of the few, cognizant of the taking.
In the pabulum for the masses
the media narrative of another new "paradigm" forever passes.
Of what worth are these paradigms?
Not the sum of rubbing together a new "pair of dimes".
Yet ringing out through the generations goes the mantra of indifference,
"but this time, it is different."
Those who do not learn from history
are doomed to repeat its mistakes verily.
Thus, the more things change,
the more they stay the same.
