The Terrorists Have Struck

Over at a financial forum...

In Canada, the Conservative government went further and actually forbid scientists from talking to the press."

Professor Westbrook:"A person has already been born who will die due to catastrophic failure of the planet."  Unfortunately, the topic of discussion in that clip from HBO: The Newsroom is not fiction. Given existing technology, CO2 levels are already beyond repair, as is stated in the scene,  "your already dead" you just don't know it.

  

Will McAvoy:"What if someone comes and opens the door, what if the person got there on time."  In other words someone could do something to salvage the situation.

The Nattering One muses... Much like peak oil and ancient alien theorists at every turn, to date Sir Thomas Malthus has been proven wrong by technological advances.  Having been given the genetic privilege to communicate verbally, the human species stewardship of this planet has been sorely lacking.  Aside from any other revelations regarding the nature of the talking monkeys,  such as 8% of their DNA is not inherited but from endogenous retrovirus, would not surprise at this point.

With a concerted effort, the results can be most impressive, if those genetic mutants can put their minds to it.  Speaking of which 10% are neurons; the other 90% are glial cells, which encapsulate and support neurons, but whose function remains largely unknown. Meaning that they really only understand 10% of how their brains function and that urban myth about only using 10% is pure BS.  Unrealized potential or limited storage capacity? Just look up the evolution of MVS/TSO, an option that was spliced into the sequence long ago via non endogenous means.

In as much as men can figure ways to terra form other planets,  the talking monkeys need to change their MO, and better pull their collective craniums from their rectum and get crackin on a solution.  And trust me, any intergalactic "corporate raiders" are just going to stand by and watch while that genus Homo, much like many before it, vanishes from the face of the planet.  Odds are this isn't going to happen at the last minute and the clock is ticking on those terrorist talking monkeys.
