2015 NFL Week 16 Picks

In Week 8, we threw in a bonus by picking all games ATS (against the spread) going 7-6-1. That was hardly a bonus, so here are some select games from Week 16, as it tis the season.

WAS 38 +3 @ PHI 24 W

NE 20 @ NYJ 26 +3  W
CAR 13 @ ATL 20 +7 W
GB 8 @ ARZ 38 -4.5 W
NYG 17 +7 @ MIN 49 L
CIN 17 +3.5 @ DEN 20 W

ATS 5-1, not bad.

How big is the CIN @ DEN game?  If the Buncos lose, while KC (vs CLE, vs OAK), PIT (@ BAL, @CLE) & NYJ (vs NE, @ BUF) win out, and regardless of what DEN did in Week 17, they would not make the playoffs.  Given that KC & PIT play much weaker teams, the J-E-T-S would seem to be the least likely to pull off that feat, but stranger things have happened, making Monday night vs the Bengals huge for the Buncos.

Looks like our DAL pick is wrong, as the Cowboys were eliminated. The WAS Skins need to win @PHI to claim the NFC Least. Even with a loss, in Week 17 if WAS wins @ DAL, and PHI loses @ NYG, which is quite possible, the Skins still get in.

Looks like our IND pick could be wrong. Regardless of what the Dolts do, HOU only needs to win one (@TEN, vs. JAX) to take the AFC South division. Even with third string Brandon Weedon at QB, the Texans should be able to pull that off, right?

Ask the Cowboys about those odds, as coach Jason Garrett and owner Jerry Jones both went EEG flatline and left Kellen Moore sitting on the bench, while Weedon (released Week 11) & Matt Cassell (obtained from Buffalo in a trade) went a collective 1-9 in Tony Romo's absence.  Had the Cowboys went 5-5, which I think they easily could have with Moore at QB, they would have been in a position to win the division this Sun @ BUF.

Did Garrett and Jones go braindead, or is there more to this story? To be continued tomorrow in, NFL Ownership - It's All About The Money or I Want A New Stadium With Boxes or I will move - WAH!!!!
