Friggin In The Riggin?

Once again, not to be mistaken for Tuesday's With Morrie, it's time for Tuesdays With Trump... Following up on The Clown Bus? At our SA post, A Miracle On 34th Street?
"The Miracle this holiday season came to 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue and avoidance of 4 years of government over-regulation, scandal, lies and sustained investigations" - Boomer
Given the clown bus of "candidates" in our recent mockery of democracy, miracles at 1100 Penn have been outlawed.  Either way with the ubiquitous "they" having everything under lock down, we were and are going to get it "in the end".  Pun intended. We got an inconsequential but expected wildcard, Bernie Sanders would have been the same.

Trumps been in 158 days, and there is going to be change? That's a nice story, now go make me a sandwich. The only changes you will see are the WH bed linens and Presidential underwear, otherwise, business as usual, so wake up and smell the coffee, not Mrs. Olsen.

Anyone naive enough to think electing a reality TV ass clown and serial BK litigant OR a bifurcated mercenary and serial liar as POTUS, would make any difference, or that those so called choices reflect a real democracy in action, is of no use to the cause at hand until they grow up.

Much like on the good ship Venus, the figurehead is a whore in bed capable of only the following: the power to sign or veto legislation, command the armed forces, ask for the written opinion of his or her Cabinet, convene or adjourn Congress, grant reprieves and pardons, and receive ambassadors.

As per SOB, on anything of import to "they", when told to jump by their sponsors, the response will be how high? and when told to dance, the response will be salsa or tango?  At the Capitol Hill level, and most all high levels of guvmint,  which no one reaches without being bought and paid for, including Trump, non cooperation leads to at best, single term, and usually scandal.

Bottom line: status quo has been maintained where it counts, the whores on the hill aka legislative branch, house and senate. There is an actionable two year window for the GOP majority, but only if they can get out of their own way, and Trump doesn't veto every single bill coming from them.

During what remains of those two years, we might see most asset bubble's explode while the global economy continues to take a header. Trump's biggest payday, and the GOP will pay him dearly, will be in naming SCOTUS seats.

Many still blame GW for the mess BO inherited. Read that short list of powers again. Most figureheads can't figure out which way is up, much less how to read a teleprompter, so they delegate. If we elected a POTUS with a brain, then we could blame them, as they are responsible for the economic cabinet and Fed head.  Unfortunately, POTUS is a reflection of the electorate and we haven't had one with an EEG that would register, since JFK.

Our lack of agency is a sign of popular apathy and total disrespect by those in power. After decades of assuming the position and saying "thank you sir may I have another",  why should "they" respect us or change anything?  No reason to, so not gonna happen, until someone gets real and grows a pair.

You could put the 2nd coming of JC at 1100 Penn, and nothing would change.  Gridlock by design (bipartisan/unilateral) and the beatings will continue until morale improves.  Meet the new boss, same as the old boss, and you've been fooled again. History keeps repeating itself, when will they learn? Until then, it's just more friggin in the riggin and Out.
