Liar, Liar?

Once again, not to be mistaken for Tuesday's With Morrie, it's Tuesdays With Trump... 

In these days of hyperbole and inflated bubbles, POTUS 45 seems to be keeping right up with the Jone's. 

For example, DT is not the first to parrot econometric falsity we have Nattered about many a time, with many an economoron or POTUS...

FACT: Real wage growth is NEGATIVE, and has not keeping up with severely understated inflation, for decades. Inflation has actually been raging in double digits since 2000, no really take the blue line... 

Despite that fact, all recent incumbents, economorons and the hook in mouth, cheer that Happy Daze are seemingly always here again?  The more things change, the more they stay the same and econometric falsity abounds, but it gets better with POTUS 45...

Lie - verb - tell a lie or lies. synonyms: tell an untruth, tell a lie, fib, dissemble, dissimulate, misinform, mislead, tell a white lie, perjure oneself, commit perjury, prevaricate; informal lie through one's teeth, stretch the truth; formal forswear oneself.

While lawyers, mouthpieces and talking heads are paid to engage in said activity, politicians thrive on it as a way of life.

Given the background, history or track record, we saw some potential upside when The Donald was a candidate.  When DT actually managed to get elected, we went LONG on the newly formed DTBS index early 2017...

Upward trajectory? In 2018, a perfect 7 for 7 with each month over 100.  A complete list of all 2291 "index components" to date can be found here, and it just keeps getting better...

Lying - present participle of lie - adjective - not telling the truth  

"he was a lying womanizer" 

synonyms: untruthful, false, dishonest, mendacious, deceitful, deceiving, duplicitous, double-dealing, two-faced; literary perfidious 

"he's a lying, cheating, snake in the grass"

Q: Why did God make snakes just before lawyers and politicians? A: To practice.  But wait, isn't somebody an avowed outsider, who is not conducting business as usual, while draining the swamp of all those lying politicians?

Not to be outdone? Aside from the DTBS index accelerating to over 200 per month, the week ending Aug 5th brought another 132 for THE WEEK.  Going parabolic?  Making Nixon and his guy's look like altar boys?  And now this...

We kid the President. Only if those lawyers, mouthpieces, talking heads and politicians could be more like Fletcher Reede?
