War: Cisco Kid "The outlaws had us pinned down at the fort"...

Cisco, the world's biggest maker of networking equipment, reported after profit and sales beat estimates and CEO John Chambers said revenue will meet projections.

Q3 income declined on revenue +10% as US sales growth decelerated +5% vs +12%. US accounts count for 50% of Cisco's revenue.

Chambers, said that growth didn't pick up in the past three months as the U.S. economy stalled. "We are a little bit in uncharted waters."

Erik Suppiger, an analyst at Signal Hill Capital Group: "Management is a little less emphatic that this downturn is going to be short lived."
