NFL Divisional Playoff Results SAT

Last week ATS 3-1, SU 3-1, so far this week ATS 2-0, SU 1-1

X IND(+4) 15@BAL 6: Our pick IND +4 and to WIN.

"NO ONE expects the Colts to win vs. the Raven defense. If the Colts take the red zone advantage on both sides of the ball, bring their run D of the last 3 games, pressure McNair into mistakes and keep the turnover ratio even, they just might shock the world."

Who dat got D? And they did shock the world, despite 2 Manning ints and a QB rating of 39.6. Raven LB Ray Lewis tipped 2 passes which would have been 2 additional Raven ints, and the #2 Raven sack D sacked Manning only once.

The Colt's controlled both lines of scrimmage, 100 vs 83 rush yds, forced 4 Raven TO's, resulting in 1 FG and stopping the Ravens at the Colt 1 yard line, a 10 pt swing and the difference in the game.

The Ravens did not covert a 3rd down until 5 min remaining in the 3rd Q, 2 for 11 on the day. The Colts moved the ball 261 net yards, but the Raven D held them to 5 FG's and 0 for 2 in the red zone, making the game seem close.

X PHI(+5) 24@NO 27: Our pick PHI +5 and to WIN.

Failure to stop the Saints ground game, failure to convert a TO into points and red zone failure on their last drive, all cost the Eagles a trip to the Championship game.

NO dominated the ground game and clock 208 vs 123 yds, TOP 35 vs 25, 1st downs 27 vs 14.

A 4th quarter red zone failure on a 2nd and 1, then 3rd and 1 at the Saint 5 yard line, and settling for 3 pts rather than 7, also cost them the game.

The Eagles also recovered the games only TO, a fumble at their 44 with 3:20 to play.

Three lame Coach Reid calls later, and after a successful 4th and 10 conversion nullified by penalty, they inexplicably punted from their 40 with 1:40 remaining and 2 time outs, never to possess the ball again.

Neither team exhibited much defense in a track meet, 435 vs 355 net yds. The Saints unstoppable offense and some inept and tenative Philly coaching earned the Big Easy a spot in the NFC title game.
