Since the Fed is accepting any collateral (boat loans or junk mortgages)

for treasury bonds at the window, doesn't this soil the value of the treasuries?

Answer: Yes it does. Bond traders are finding there is nothing special about Treasuries anymore,

now that the Fed accepts substitutes for government securities as collateral.
