Even earnest Bob Costello at the ATA is trying to smear lipstick on this pig, titling his latest economic report:
"Trucking and the Economy Are Easing Out of the Recession"
From a Naybob of Transport: "Are we actually seeing signs of improvement in the economy ? I am not yet convinced.
I think September’s results will present a better picture. The cash for clunkers program distorted the picture considerably in my opinion and we have seen a marked slowdown following the end of the program in August".
The Nattering One muses... Folks, heres a news flash, Easing out?? Even the ATA economic guys are trying to put a positive spin on this pile of steaming dung...
Wake me up when Non Farm Jobs goes positive for six months, and even then... its McJobs in this emasculated economic wreck...
The double dip is just around the corner, a major stock market correction coming as non farms accelerates to the downside...
and the Fed has to raise rates to defend the dollar and avoid massive hyperinflation...
