City Journal – a quarterly publication brought to you by classic conservative CIA anointed influence peddlers at the Manhattan Institute. MI is a conservative public policy think tank best known for its influence on law enforcement methods.
MI has been influential in promoting "broken windows" law enforcement which engenders high incarceration rates (education tax drain), more police officers working (police state) and data-driven approaches (gestapo surveillance). MI supports school vouchers (education tax drain), welfare reform (elimination); are opposed to the government negotiating drug prices for Medicare Part D (anti senior) and last but not least, support the abolition of defined benefit public pensions (anti pension).
Summation: We will be watching you closely, very closely. Have you had too much to think? Today's educational reprobates are tomorrows inmates. And for those who are not inmates, no pension for you, work till you die and if you need medication, FOAD.
MI was founded by Antony Fisher and William Casey as the International Center for Economic Policy Studies (ICEPS), and later renamed the Manhattan Institute. The incorporation documents for the ICEPS were signed by attorney William Casey, later Director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
Fisher has provided financial and operational support for a huge number of fledgling think-tanks. Through the Atlas Network Fisher was able to extend his beliefs worldwide. By 1984, Fisher was watching over eighteen institutions in eleven countries. Today, Atlas supports and works with around 400 free-market think-tanks in over 90 different countries.
Fisher was influenced by none other than Hayek and Friedman (lived on the same block in Baghdad by the Bay (San Francisco) 1980's). Nothing like influence peddlers that subscribe to ideology based in false doctrine mucking up the educational, prison, policing, and social net systems.
Regarding the above, the subscriber commented: "As to the City Journal background, so what?"
P commented: "The fact that you don't care that the City Journal is a propaganda rag simply blows my mind! BTW - Good digging Naybob."

Answer: The end result of decades of consolidation and control over sources of influence and education. Alex, what is the collective "conscious ignorance" which runs so very deeply in our country. Hmm, I seem to have wandered at bit off the back 40 with that mule and your plow.
