Farewell Montana Skeptic?

On July 24th we were greeted with Farewell For Now, a chronicle of how Tesla CEO Elon Musk phoned a long time critics employer and threatened to sue the critic.

"Yesterday, July 23, I decided to cease writing about Tesla (TSLA) here at the Seeking Alpha web site. I also deactivated my Twitter account, where I was @MontanaSkeptic1. Here is what prompted those decisions.

Yesterday afternoon, the principal of the family office in which I am employed received a communication from someone purporting to be Elon Musk. Doubtful that Elon Musk could actually be attempting to contact him, my employer asked one of my colleagues to investigate and respond.

My colleague then spoke by phone with Elon Musk (it was indeed him). Mr. Musk complained to my colleague about my writing at Seeking Alpha and on Twitter. Mr. Musk said if I continued to write, he would engage counsel and sue me."

Said critic was a friend of ours or comrade in arms, who wrote under the nom de plume or pen name (pseudynom) of Montana Skeptic at Seeking Alpha for the last three years.

MS focus was singular and often stinging for Tesla, their CEO, and the rabid cult of thin skinned and irrational acolytes known as Teslalites.

The above blog entry announcing cessation of critiquing Tesla and circumstance, spawned the following MSM blizzard from both sides of the fence in short order:

Check your messages. It is with great displeasure that I read this farewell and all the attendant hyperbole...

Question of the day? Why does a well to do CEO bother to call a critic's employer to threaten legal action?

Simple answer: the critic not only struck a vein, which any lying troll can do, especially to those who are thin skinned.... but lies cannot change the truth.

In this case, after three years of criticism and thoughtful analysis, the critic was much too close to the truth of matters. Is not the truth, the truth? Indeed, and hence the reaction.  On that note...



To hell with the Tesla liars...

And in our honest estimation, Montana Skeptic is one of the last of these...


Remember, time's glory is to command contending kings, to unmask falsehood, and bring truth to light. In closing we hope our Skeptic continues to do this and...
