The FIFA Octagon

"Brazil advance to face Germany in what we fear will be this Cups 3rd officiating debacle involving the host nation. Whoever FIFA's favorite sons may face, we suspect the matches will be much like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter...wrought with NHL style play, curious calls/non calls and dubious Don King like boxing match results."

Bringing back Brazil's new national hero, Nishimura (the ref that awarded this Cup's opening match to Brazil) wasn't possible...

"The game video clearly demonstrates that either Nishimura was completely out of his depth, or that the official's cannot go against the mandate that at ALL costs, FIFA's favorite son's must win this cup at home... and this latest "fix" won't help matters any.

I am not alone in this factual observation as the internet and sports press are abuzz with negative reports condemning the opening matches legitimacy and result."

So, FIFA have done the next best possible thing.    Stop the press, FIFA announced they will have a new look to the pregame....

and great news for FIFA's favorite son's....  Marco Rodriguez the Mexican referee who failed to see Luis Suárez bite an opponent...

nor punish Suarez after seeing his bite marks on the shoulder of an opposing player...

is being rewarded for his performance as the "see no evil" blind chimp in Uruguay vs Italy...

by being picked to officiate Brazil’s World Cup semi final against Germany.

Really?  Suárez’s chomp of the Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini’s shoulder went unpunished by the Mexican match officials.

FIFA investigated and banned Suárez for nine international matches and four months from all football activity.

In that game, Rodríguez paved the way for Uruguay to advance by forcing Italy to play with 10 men...

sending off @ 65' Italian midfielder Claudio Marchisio for what should have been at most a yellow card for dangerous challenge.

Replay clearly showed that Marchisio was ejected for not so much as touching an opposing player.

To be sure, as Rodriguez has already proved beyond a doubt that he can be visually impaired...

"the WWF or Don King fix is in.... FIFA's legitimacy have been reduced to WWF stature for quite some time now."

this intentional move by FIFA will open up the game for the same thuggish tactics Brazil used against Colombia.

Expect numerous fouls by Brazil, mostly uncalled, and fouls that are blatant will not be booked yellow or red.

So, ladies and gentlemen in attendance, and for the millions watching around the world...

all soon to be in utter disgust as any semblance of the beautiful game's legitimacy is permanently destroyed...

lets get ready to rumble in the WWF, oops, er... FIFA octagon.
