Straighten Up and Fly Right?

Once again, not to be mistaken for Tuesday's With Morrie, it's time for Tuesdays With Trump...
POTUS Trump’s budget blueprint comes as a surprise. Amid an 18 percent cut to the Department of Health and Human Services — including one-fifth of the National Institutes of Health’s budget — the administration has said it will prioritize funding for important anti-HIV activities. On the domestic front, the budget calls funding for Ryan White HIV/AIDS providers — a “high priority” it wants to continue.  - VOX
Trump's Vice President Mike Pence is familiar with the programs, particularly Ryan White. From Pence's 2000 website, The Pence Agenda for the 107th CongressA Guide to Renewing the American Dream:
"Congress should support the reauthorization of the Ryan White Care Act only after completion of an audit to ensure that federal dollars were no longer being given to organizations that celebrate and encourage the types of behaviors that facilitate the spreading of the HIV virus. Resources should be directed toward those institutions which provide assistance to those seeking to change their sexual behavior."
Is the VP's intended message ringing similar to our apropos title du jour? Soon enought, now that the Evangelical Pence is VP, and only one heart beat away from being POTUS, he'll be telling people... No! wait! let him tell you in his own words...
[bring] an end to the "don’t ask/don’t tell" policy of permitting homosexuals to serve in the armed forces. Homosexuality is incompatible with military service because the presence of homosexuals in the ranks weakens unit cohesion.
Congress should oppose any effort to put gay and lesbian relationships on an equal legal status with heterosexual marriage.
Congress should oppose any effort to recognize homosexual’s as a "discreet and insular minority" entitled to the protection of anti-discrimination laws similar to those extended to women and ethnic minorities.
Isn't that extra special? Sounds like the homophobic VP could use a gay old song?

Double entendre? Meanwhile, back in the real world and snatched straight from the headlines...

Take the case of the Man Who Can't Catch AIDS, one Stephen Crohn, whose genetic anomaly, known as the delta 32 mutation, which produces a flawed CCR5 receptor, is found in less than 1% of the population, and gave Mr. Crohn immunity to HIV.  As he put it in a “Nova” documentary on PBS
It’s like a key — the virus comes with this. It’s looking for a two-holed keyhole. I don’t have one of the holes. Period. It’s never going to attach to me.” - NY Times
