Kata - I think you forgot to take your meds. oops, after Obamacare fails, you wont be able to afford your meds, gulp:(
Meanwhile, over at a financial forum...

Synopsis of the current proposal: the elimination of the low cost option means no competition against the government option rate, and insurers can charge what they want. Everybody else with income or that pay taxes, their rates will skyrocket overnight. But that's not all you get...

The elimination of the low cost option means: the Urban Institute's estimate, for instance, predicts that 29.8M (not just 20 million) will lose coverage.  In any event, 20M recently covered under ACA will no longer get 75% of their insurance costs (average $1K per month, per couple) subsidized. Substituted is an income tax credit of $3.5K so they need to come up with the other $8.5K on their own.

Simply brilliant? To take the tax credit implies you have income or pay taxes in the first place, so 20M get screwed and we get a potential 43K per annum in additional deaths as a result. And if you act now...

Pre-existing conditions get a 30% surcharge on the new higher rate. Even better, older customers get charged 5X more than younger.  So more people who really need the coverage, get screwed. And if that wasn't enough...

The higher out of pocket costs burdens customers (the public) with an additional est $170B per year and states (again read tax payers) an est. $300B. That $470B is 2.3% of GDP, so all that ACA money being "saved" and even MORE, that could have flowed back into the economy, will be paid by the mid and lower quintiles, not the wealthy, and go directly into the pockets of the insurers. This is win, win all the way, right?

I never voted to exterminate people before – what's it like?  Does it feel good knowing that the policies you voted for are being enacted and that "those people" will soon be kicked out of the system to live or die on their own merits, without you being forced to contribute to their life-saving medicine or care?  We on the road to killing 4,000 Americans per month (like a new 9/11 every month that we do to ourselves)...
but we are HAPPILY (I guess) paying for a $54 BILLION build-up in military spending instead - and that's just this year – we haven't even declared war yet! Well, we have declared war, it's a war on Poverty and the Rich are kicking their asses!
We've got the poor on the run and we will not stop fighting until we roll back every single program that makes their lives easier and we will reverse every law that is meant to protect them and we cannot stop until they are ALL eliminated because the poor are many and we rich are few and if we're not thorough, the poor may realize this and start voting together – which is why we must also keep them at each others' throats – fighting over things that don't matter while we strip them of all that does – THAT is our path to VICTORY OVER THE POOR!!! - P
Funny how we had similar rantings about eliminating and saving in A Possessed Man's Rant? Va'eira! Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh! Part 1 and Part 2.
"by eliminating est. 132 million "problem" or "un-Americans" out of 320 million, we have saved 1.480 or $1.5 Trillion Annual =  8.8 or 9% of annual GDP. What a burden these un-American types have put upon the John Galt's of the world.... Conservatively, to feed a homeless person for one year $3500 + $7000 to house them = $10K invested. However, each homeless person housed and fed saves $20K per year in other costs for a net positive of $10K on a $10K investment."
Where else can one get 100% on their money while pulling someone up? GMTA as P is a brother from another mother. Back on track, the current proposal is simply brilliant like those who authored and support it.

To be clear, akin to down south where "oh bless your little heart" is code for f*ck you, in our vernacular "simply brilliant" means flat line EEG or brain dead.

Don't get my Nattering wrong, I never have liked the band aid ACA either. It was an industry supported political compromise and never has been a good solution.  If your going to do it right, do it right.  In the meantime...

The current proposal, should be called the Spendy Trump Uniform Payor Insurance Drain or just plain S.T.U.P.I.D.  What the hell are they thinking?

Oh wait, they obviously can't and we will be stuck with them for the next two to four years. Stuck in what sense?  Stuck with them in a flaming paper bag filled with shit, getting stomped on the porch.  Whadda ya gonna do?  Good times indeed.
