David Lereah, AKA "Dave Liar" when he was the NAR (National Association of Realtor's) head cheerleader...
From his 2005 book entitled Why the Real Estate boom will NEVER bust:
"Today's real estate market is the result of rational decision making based on supply and demand conditions.
With today's economy, home owners are in no danger of experiencing a widespread fallout of home prices."
Oh my! its getting so deep, forget the boots, save the watch...
Last week, in a Newsweek interview Mr. Lereah comments...
"We're not at the bottom. [People] want it to be near the bottom, but we're not there yet.
The leading indicators are still very bad. Pending home sales are still in bad shape. Mortgage applications are low …
There's still supply out there in abundance … This thing is going to get worse before it gets better."
Sounds like someone bailed out on the "Paxil for lunch bunch", figured out where their head was at, then extracted it...
