Fed Statistical Elephant Tracks?

  • The SP500, hit an all-time peak.
  • Total Reserve Balances Held By Fed Reserve Banks, Reserves Required and St. Louis AMB, have just spiked to all-time highs. What happened?
  • Is there a relationship between Total Reserve Balances at FRB; St. Louis Adjusted Monetary Base and the SP500?

With regard to the St. Louis Adjusted Monetary Base: As a seasonally adjusted percentage change, look at the wild action, since Oct 29, 2014 the largest negative swing; and since March 4th the largest positive swing since the crisis.
