Genocidal Tendencies?

Buried deep within the heart of every conflict lies a territory known as common ground. But how do we summon the courage to seek out its borders?

Up until now, the Holocaust is thought to have consumed between five and six million Jews, with an estimated six million non Jews also murdered by the Nazi regime for a tally of 11 million victims.

  

New figures of 15 to 20 million, which have astonished some Holocaust historians, come after thirteen years of painstaking study at Washington's Holocaust Memorial Museum.  Apparently, there were many more camps and victims than initially reported. 

Genocide's are a regular occurrence, and there are currently five in progress as you read this missive.

Now on the other hand...

Nixon and Brezhnev had a bromance.  At one of their clandestine meetings, Brezhnev suggested that in order to avoid decades of strife, save millions of lives and the spending of countless trillions...

Russia would enter from the East, the US from the West and subdivide the entirety of the Middle East.  He surmised that with both superpowers on board, his goal of total middle east subjugation and occupation could be achieved within 2-5 years.

The invasion was to be a totalitarian cleansing and any resistance was to be annihilated. Both sides were to split the real estate and oil spoils and move forward with the assimilation by building oodles of strip malls, condos, resorts and plenty of Mickey D's, Chicken Kiev and Matryoshka nesting dolls outlets.

Nixon was said to be favorable to the idea, but Kissinger convinced him otherwise. Whether this was company mis or dis information, who knows. From one extreme to the other, in any event, it is what it is and the wheel in the sky keeps on turnin.
