Superior Information Leakage Forecast

According to the ECB data, nearly half of the market move due to an economic surprise occurs before the release of that data. The ECB paper suggests two possible causes for early access to data: information leakage and superior forecasting.

Definitions:

Too Much Information (TMI) leakage:  proliferating usage of adult incontinence products.

Superior forecasting: Partly cloudy this AM, chance of wind and, or scattered showers. A partial chance of afternoon clearing with some sun later today, and definitely not so sunny tonight.  That's today's weather forecast, for up to the minute updates, look, stick your head or jump; out of the nearest window.

Superior Information Leakage Forecast: Partial pre announcement information fluctuation and or scattered data sources.  Partial chance of data integrity shedding actual clarity on the situation, definite chance of post announcement clean data wipe later tonight.  That's today's information leakage forecast, for up to the minute updates, look, stick your thumb drive out on, or jump onto the great information highway and play.
