Timing Is Everything? - Part 5

Following up on Timing Is Everything? - Part 4....

B for Bob responded...
I just woke up (forgot to set my alarm last night). Looked at the markets and wow!!! I entered short positions yesterday on the corrective bounce up. I just closed them....
Needless to say they were highly profitable, and that is in large part to you pointing out that 5 week pattern. Such a simple thing those patterns, especially when you have sharper eyes helping you to 'see the light.' So thank you! You are the man!
I was planning on opening/adding to long positions today after closing out my shorts, but now I am patiently waiting. This looks very ugly.
In the meantime, I look forward to reading your weekly postings and commentary. Cheers! - 10 Oct 2018, 10:54 AM
We Nattered back...  Thanks for the kind words. Now testing 7200, wheee!!!! Watch for fluctuations around Nov 5th, Dec 10th and especially Jan 14th.

Holidays, month end, quarter end, and year end will have passed. So why is the latter significant? Because that's the 3rd week of Jan.

Note to self... chart what happened this year during the 1st seasonal inflection, read the "gospel", and thank Salmo too. - 10 Oct 2018, 11:46 AM

Now at 7020, down 5% on the day.... 6956 will be 10% down from 7728. - 10 Oct 2018, 04:43 PM
Bob - "As someone who uses technical and EW indicators as my primary trading tools, I am truly grateful for the analysis and insight into economic and financial fundamentals from people like you and Salmo." - 10 Oct 2018, 06:02 PM
The Nattering One mused.... Thank you for the kind words.

Notice what happened to commods yesterday (10/10)? Not immune.  In addition, over the last four days (10/8 - 10/11/18), the inverse correlation of stocks and bonds (equity down, bond price up, yield down) has suddenly bounced back into vogue.

Said inverse correlation had been at its weakest point since 2014.  As Phineus the Seer told the pirate sporting an eye patch... in the future something to keep an eye on?

Seems we are at the precipice or magic 10% number, if 6950 breaks on high volume, then 6750, then 6500, then, the gates of hell open up wide and....

investors make like those famous birds that migrate every year back to San Juan Capistrano, but hard. Or like Harpies? TBD.
