Global Warming Continues II

We started with Global Warming Continues, and it continues...

La Nina: Ice caps melt, lowering the water temperature in the central and eastern Pacific Ocean...

altering the resulting weather patterns in the waters circulation path.

In the Far South of the circle, Australia is getting bombarded with rain.

Farther North, Chile is in the grip of the most damaging drought in a century. Subsistence farmers' crops and livestock are dying.

The water shortage is reducing output at hydroelectric dams, pushing up energy prices and forcing the government to consider restricting power supplies to mines and factories.

The weather phenomenon known as La Nina exacerbated dry conditions, fueling the drought.

Last year's rainfall was already below normal when La Nina, a drop in Pacific Ocean water temperatures, was detected in September.

This La Nina is the most intense in more than half a century, according to meteorologists at the University of Chile in Santiago.

Since August, northern Chile has received no measurable rain.

The Nattering One muses... Much like our proof of double digit inflation and debunking of the urban myth peak oil...

We maintain our empirically backed common sense position...

ANYONE who thinks global warming is not real is either a paid liar or fool, or both.

Hattip to Bloomberg.
