Carla McDumps on Ronald
If you thought CMG had issues, it seems that Ronnie Mac's has some serious customer service problems along with civil rights violations to address. In addition to feeling pressure from Jack, Wendy and the King (Burger), and in an attempt to make over their image, the burger chain has launched a new ad campaign.
Unfortunately, after 52 years Ronnie McClown is collateral damage, as the mascot has been dumped for new spokes-characters "in an effort to appeal to new demographics" affectionately named Carla and Charlene. This very short video, apparently scripted by an agency better known in commodities trading circles (JOPP - Jabo-Oille-Price Productions) was to have appeared during SB 50 halftime, and covers all the details. Out.
