As mentioned in Know Your Limitations, we had also warned about the week of November 5th. As things would have it, the 5th - 7th were happy daze, but on the 8th "it" showed up again as expected and lingered until the 15th.

Upon which we posed a "canary in a coal mine" question to Salmo regarding the recent 35% pullback of oil from 76.90 to 49.41...

Since 10/03 we have seen a 25% pullback in the price of WTI. Call it $19 or $19K per contract. Reminds me of the inception of the flash crash June 2014 - Jan 2015 which saw a 60% decline. This led to an eventual 75% decline between June 2014 - Feb 2016. Do you see any similarities or dissimilarities?

During Red October a boat load of JPY-USD carry trades got unwound. The synthetic dollar short, King Dollar loves it. My guess, Japanese exporters are going to have a noticeable drop in revenue this Q.
As previously mentioned watch UST's, the DXY and JPY-USD for clues. It is probable that this 1st week in Nov has seen some smart money selling into the rally.
