Great news for the vanishing bees... DuPont topped their earnings estimates, the third-biggest U.S. chemical company,
said Q1 profit rose 26% as record grain prices boosted sales +9% of pesticides and genetically modified corn and soybean seeds.
U.S. sales were unchanged from a year earlier, and revenue rose 18% in Europe, 15% in Canada and Latin America, and 11% in the Asia Pacific region.
DuPont got 62% of its sales outside the U.S. during the quarter. A weaker dollar boosted sales +5%.
